I love Brighton

Contributed by fixed on Monday, 4th April 2005 @ 03:03:10 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I love Brighton : :Brighton loves me.
I went when I was 13,
to get a taste,
to find a face.

Friends I've found and lost have walked those streets with me,
keeping me company..
now I'm alone but still have company..
Brighton itself is my friend.

Like a painting or a song or a person infact,
the image is there but the soul is kept back..
in the backstreets and lanes, is where Brighton has its soul.
The heart is the people,
providing love is their role.

From Gurana to comics to Vegetarian shoes,
Vegan to gay to straight to drag to curious to young to old to goth to punk to trends that bend and curve and swerve and colours that change, images that rearrange..
piercings and music and sunshine and buttons and hats and guitars, its like living on mars I guess,
battered and heated.

I love Brighton, Brighton loves me,
I travel to Brighton to finally be free.
Open, acceptant, modern and vintage,
everyone has Brighton deep down inside.
I think I'll die my hair green, then move to Brighton to hide.

Knew a couple from Brighton. A colourful pair they were. I've never been, though.

Thanks for your pictures of this seaside resort.
