War
The hills are filled with battle cries And blood flies everywhere I search all over for my family But alas, they are not here A woman falls quite near to me And I see her blood stained face Oh God, I think as I stumble on We cannot even die with grace A bomb lands somewhere in front of me And I hear some startled cries In this red-orange deathly sky, while breathing In dust filled air I sigh, a bomb, I die.

A truly powerful poem, unfortunately war & act of violence itself will forever exist. Excellent poem! |
