Deadly Rape

Topic: DarkPoetry

See these eyes
Watch theyre lies.
Hear these lips
Listen to theyre tips.

It wont be long
Before somethings wrong.
You see her,
Its all a blur.
She sees you,
And knows that its untrue.

See these eyes
Watch theyre lies.
Hear these lips
Listen to theyre tips.

Your love cannot be real,
For its not something that you feel.
At night its more like rape,
She just wants to escape.
Each night it gets worse,
Adding one more curse.

See these eyes
Watch theyre lies.
Hear these lips
Listen to theyre tips.

Yesterday you split her head,
Tonight she might be dead.
Shes on the phone,
Hurting to the bone.
You walk in,
And grab her chin.

See these eyes
Watch theyre lies.
Hear these lips
Listen to theyre tips.

Shoved to her knees,
She starts to beg please.
Dont kill me now,
Im not worth the trouble itll sow.
But you dont hear,
Youre too busy drinkin your beer.

See these eyes
Watch theyre lies.
Hear these lips
Listen to theyre tips.

Now its Sunday morning
And all the papers are warning
There was a murder last night,
Without much of a fight.
For what the cops saw
Left them in grim awe.

See these eyes
Watch theyre lies.
Hear these lips
Listen to theyre tips.

The sight that was seen
Was a girl of eighteen
With a broken head
And a body covered in red.
Her killer was a man
Who was still holding a can.

See these eyes
Watch theyre lies.
Hear these lips
Listen to theyre tips.

He was drunk as it gets
And high on something that wasnt cigarettes.
He bashed her head
Till she was near dead.
Then he looked at her eyes
And told her to say her goodbyes.

See these eyes
Watch theyre lies.
Hear these lips
Listen to theyre tips.

A man killed a girl
Then something started to unfurl
He picked up a knife
And took his life.
The story ends here,
And that, I think is clear.

I like how it tells a story - and the chorus separating stanzas. Very descriptive, and deeply emotional. good one!
