She Doesnt Know

Contributed by JustxAxDream on Thursday, 7th April 2005 @ 04:51:59 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

She doesnt know that she is gorgeous
Why cat she see that she is beautiful?
Behind her gemstone- like green eyes
A sad girl cries

Behind her makeup coated face
Her true self is hidden in a secret place
Under her triple padded bra
Her heart is twisted and distorted
She looks in the mirror and she cries
But all shes looking at are lies

Mascara, lipstick and blush
Its all just way to much
And this mask she hides behind
Where her broken soul slowly dies

She cries out Im too fat!
But her friends discourage that
She doesnt even trust her own best friend
Her battle with the mirror seems to never end

Her beautiful smile are forced to hide
The broken girl that lives inside
And behind her milky- white skin
A shattered soul lives within
Why cant she see that she is beautiful?
Her life could be so fun
If shed step away from the mirror
And set free the girl within her.

oh so true!! I have a couple of friends that are like that, detesting of their weight and looks, when there is no reason at all to be concerened at all. But ah well... it seems there's not much you can do about them is there, no matter how hard you try to convince them. Great write, true to the point, keep it up k
