Empty promises are a tolling
Ringing out their deceptions
The echoes loosely defined,
Buried within these white lies.
(bell rings)
Empty promises are a tolling
Screaming out their names
The infidelities remain vague
As words resonate ill meanings.
(bell rings)
Empty promises are a tolling
Shattering deceptive dreams
The broken pieces lacking
An appropriate esteem.
(bell rings)
Empty promises are a tolling
Their signals almost understood.
Empty promises are a dying
As the truth finally sinks in.
