Topic: dedicatedpoems

damn, I never got to no u
though I feel I knew u
never got 2 meet u
oh how much I feel u
u loved the people
hated the world
taught us how it works and turned
i miss u man
i wish u were here
though wen i listen 2 your music
I feel u near
u inspired me 2 live
gave so I can give
kinda like Jesus, u died 2
so we could be free
from your messages i c
every word u ever said mean't truth
every bullet that u took was proof
just like u I raise a blunt 2 my lips
ream about the bloods and the crips
and vacade hoes and tricks
when I was younger,i wanted to walk like u,
rap, talk, and ball like u
wanna gang bang like gangstas do
so Pac as I look at the world and c through
i had 2 let the world know how i miss u...
and Nothings the same

Nice tribute . His music lives on.

There's a nice beat to this.

I was listening to an arts update and they had a piece on a weekly poetry slam. The poems sounded a lot like "rap" lyrics.

Keep forgetting that rap/hip-hop grew likely out of spoken word.

A great tribute to a man who even nearly a decade after his death still inspires (I still need to see "Ressurection" one of these days).
