Mask of degraded sanity

My skin is burning my mind has failed,
Destroyed once again as my heart is impaled,
Now I feel the fires that burn my soul alive,
But this just another deception that I alone must survive,
Believing what I wish to see, hearing forgotten dreams,
I am haunted by my own presence voices from my past make endless screams,
I have fallen now to the deceptions of my corroded mind,
To all of my own flaws I have been so unforgivably blind,
But once more I shall repair my illusions and my mask of degraded sanity,
Until once again my own misconduct reveals my disgraceful lack of humanity,
A plague is what I am, a disease is all I will become, but what I have been is worse,
From life till death I have brought pure innocence a terrible and destructive curse,
I have destroyed what was intended to blossom out of pure jealousy and rage,
All because I am not human, I am an animal intended for a mentally restrictive cage,
To all those who I have mistreated through the weakness of my soul,
To them I am in great debt and to repay them is my only goal,
I live for something pure, of which I know I cannot achieve,
Its time I disappear and bring all a swift reprieve,
I will become at one with the shadows, for I cannot live in the light,
So I shall accept the creature that I am and fade away into the night,
To entrap the creature that possesses my essence, to control myself with despair,
I will no longer plague them because I now take a vow; no more shall I be there,
No longer shall I inflict misery, annoyance, pain or even sympathetic guilt,
But I shall repay my debts, until my final tears are spilt.
