When I think of you
I see a caring, giving man.
Quiet, yet yielding of hand.
When I think of you
Your unassuming manner,
Come forth your easy banter.
When I think of you
My insights see well inside.
Sometimes sad, but well the mind hides.
When I think of you
You never mean to offend,
Because youre truly a gentleman
When I think of you
Your strong character esteems.
Tenacity, strength, faith, family deems.
When I think of you
We all can learn so much
Wisdom, heirlooms of time; finding their touch.
When I think of you
Smart of wit, intellect grandeur.
And yes, that smug candor!
When I think of you
Distinguished features abide.
Reflects your qualities wide.
When I think of you
Friends come in different genders, ages.
They listen; help even if one rages.
When I think of you
You will always be special to me
Soft spot in my heart, a friend you see.
When I think of you
Glad God put you in my life path of this time.
Not sure how long, but now is fine.
So, when I think of you
So refined and true,
A special treasure, a sweet friend I found in you.
