My Lover's Lies October 17, 2004
Cold chills, dancing along my trembling flesh Shivering, yet burning, as again I hear lies falling my lover's lips Ah....my lover, the one was always so good with words Words are his advantage, his weapon of choice Honeyed, measured meaningless words to bind my heart Words that draw me in, only to become unseen Leaving me cold and alone again
Each time I sought to leave My lover wove his spell of words around my soul Drawing me back to him Wanting to keep me forever Each embrace colder than the one before Each sweetly spoken lie, piercing my soul a little deeper I have become numb I am lost now.
