So just relax look at that sky such a bright, entrancing blue with clouds like cotton balls scattered across it all. leaves of green from the tallest trees frame the perfect sky. beams of sunlight hitting my face, warming my body. feel that grass cushioning me as i simply lay. mixed up in my fingers, which occasionally uproot tiny blades. smell that air. so crisp, fresh, warm... listen. listen to the quiet motions surrounding me. feel a soft breeze gently tickling my face. so just relax.

Maybe I caught an undertone in the poem that isn't there, but I found it interesting that the author painted an idillic word picture of a relaxing and warm place, but had to tell him or herself to relax...as if the author couldn't relax.
Really interesting piece...I found it a good read. |
