Oh how passing moments Turned into new years This now emtpy neigborhood Was where my memory began I knew every family on my street I remember the faces They play through my mind Every night in my dreams
Now their gone; scattered Leading another life The only thing that remains Is the glow of the lights Where the kids used to sit Beneath the sky You couldn't see past tomorrow It was always anothers worry
Driving through the old neigborhood I remembered an empty house But it was no longer a home Driving through the old neigorhood I don't ever remember feeling so alone

Very good poem. Kinda sad but it also brings back the same kind of memories for me and some of them were happy...in the old neighborhood. |
