You play the chords upon my heart as if never forgotten
Its not fair its down right dirty and even more so rotten
They stretch and mold to your every movement or whim
How after so long do you control them all over again
Where the scars are etched into my being, just reminders
They dont go away or do you forget they stay there forever
How you never really heal from true loves brutal kiss
Why take another chance when I barely survived that near miss
Better to love and lose than never at all i think not
It leaves you a bitter soul nothing but lost thoughts
Leaving to the fact, fairy tales are but made up stories
When reality leaves you broken and more than just feeling lowly
