Just an average boy Becomes a modern man He fixes his new life up To match all of his plans
Hes detailed all his life To fit perfectly in line With the schedule that he keeps That fits perfectly in time But When theres never a surprise It leaves nothing worth to dream When theres no hidden message Lifes exactly as it seems
The days he will not notice Too busy staring at the clock Waiting for another tick And dreaming of the tock
Oh what a shame it must be To have life planned out so well So perfectly in order The line between heaven and hell Because When theres never any surprise It leaves nothing worth to dream When theres no hidden message Lifes exactly as it seems
Bored, dull, old and lame Dated, wasted, and always the same Bored, dull, old and lame Dated, wasted, and always the same
Always something to complain But after all lifes just a game

This one really carries a message or, should I say, a warning. A very good external portrayal. However, these are people who have been constantly put down from childhood and made to CONFORM to other peoples' rules. Only when all their dreams fail will they realize they need to FIGHT, because life itself is an UNCERTAIN one-time opportunity. I know this all too well from my own experience. Hence: ex-dreamer. |
