He Only Needed A Friend

He thought he lived his life alone
everyday he had to wake
All he heard was a voice of his own
when he would talk across the lake
One day while he was on the beach
he asked himself what life wants
That did not come from his wicked speech
after no one would give him a response
That was not the last you heard his cries
until he got into that crash
All you saw were tears from his eyes
then you saw a big splash
If he only knew how to swim
losing his life would not be near
If he only had a friend that knew him
living a fine life would appear
All you saw was a man ahead
suffering under a waterfall
When a man looked at him he was dead
he only needed a friend - that was all
