i'm drowning myself in my tears
only wanting you to be here
i never knew you
you were gone when i was only one
yet i miss you more than anything i've ever known
if only i could have known you
maybe it wouldn't be so bad
everyone says you were the best man alive
but you were only there to see me through one year
why'd you have to go so soon
why couldn't you have stayed around untill i at least got to know you
everyone cries because you were so wonderful
i cry because i will never know
i will never know the things you did
or how amazing you were
i can never help comfort the others
because i don't know
and that's all i wanted to do
i only wanted to know you

Very touching masterpeice and tribute. I never knew one of my grand fathers but I've always known he's one of my many guardian angels.
