Sometimes its just not your time...for love

I found a place for me
a place to be free
its built with high walls around
a place where I can be safe and sound
I don't have to hide I can be free
from all the faces I don't want to see
a safe haven where I can think
and not feel like I need a shrink
where no one will see in my face
the heartache that has left a trace
and stained my very soul
of which I have yet to gain control
I need this peaceful place to heal
and deal with all the pain I feel
some day's or good some or just long
some day's I'm weak and some I'm strong
I know I will find the old me again
its just a matter of when
in this particular lesson I learned
love doesn't always come easy its earned
and if it is going to last
it wont grow so fast
so I understand love is what I felt
he made my heart melt
but it wasn't a love that was meant grow
it was just meant to let me know
that love does exist and its out there for me
I only need to take it slow and easy
so with no regrets I can say
that love, real love will find me some day
so as sad as I am today
I know the hurt will go away
another lesson learned
another piece of me burned
