Memories are the greatest thing anyone can take away from a relationship. Good memories are a wonderful plus; bad ones are often teary-eyed negatives.
Youth, if they take a positive approach to all associations, and act in honesty, and good faith, will be able to forge lifetime friendships from former romantic relations that did, or did not mature into full fledged love. Dishonesty in such relationships leaves acquaintances that are unwilling, by most accounts, to remain friends.
Your strong, and good memories of a former boy friend shows the maturity that breeds good, long term friendships. Who knows what the future holds for two friends with good memories of one another? Good luck . . . and good writing.
John
