One Wish

Contributed by justme03 on Tuesday, 19th April 2005 @ 02:30:04 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Death, depression,
darkness and gloom
All abiding within this room
I take the object
of death and hurt
and gouge it into my arm
The blood slides out
red and warm
falling to rest
in a shadowy puddle
on the ground
I cray out loud
and grab my wrist
Now all I have left
is just one wish
I'm dying now,
going behind a veil
a place where only
time can tell
I'm vanishing, erasing myself
soon to be no more
than a memory
But my one wish
is only this
I may be gone
but memories
can't die
I can still see
that look
and the way you started
to cry
I don't want to hurt you
I dont know why I did this
I'm aching for the scars
and memories
to fall into a dark abyss
You should have never held
me close to you
I should have walked away
For now I have hurt you worse
than if I was a nobody
