Anonimity

There are those times when I vacate the Sea of Anonimity, And rise from the waters to the light of reality. I see what others refuse to see, And wonder if I really wish to be free.
Did the Angel cry when she jumped from the cliff, Into the the deep blue waters beneath? Did she think of the others not in her place? Did her virtuous tears scar her delicate face? Or did they fall to the ground, and sprout a new bud, Of human compassion, of human love? Did she grace the world with a heavenly smile, When she took the plunge into a sea so vile? Would anyone at all hear her mournful cry, Hear her laugh, or watch her die? A turned back seas only what it wants to be seen, The rest of the world, her world, is merely a dream.
I used to watch the sunrise and wonder why, The black of the Real strains the soul. And the weight of my tears bade me to fall, Into the sea they willed me to go.
But the deep blue waters don't welcome open eyes, And there is no place to see the sunrise. And while the land isn't always pleasant, It allows a man to see, All the colors of the world, The blacks, the blues, the yellows, and the greens.
I opt to remain a creature of the sea, Though trapped, am I, in this blissful place. Waiting for others to stumble upon me, And be another ignorant soul, another ignorant face.

But the deep blue waters don't welcome open eyes, and there is no place to see the sunrise......that to me sounds like a beautiful place to be....im not saying i dont enjoy the sunlight but i dream of only being able to see the tops of the ocean....in which one day i know will come true..but the way you talk about the dark sea underneath is so beautifully written.....this is an absolutely beautiful poem, i love the way you laid the wording out....thank you for sharing this one i enjoyed reading it....Merry Christmas...

• I opt to remain a creature of the sea,
Though trapped, am I, in this blissful place.
Waiting for others to stumble upon me,
And be another ignorant soul, another ignorant face.•

What an exceptional poem, as a once living by the sea man and knowing the peace and the storms of an agitated sea. I think this poem deserves a special place, well written
Thank you.
