The word believe can be used in two different ways-
Do you believe me
and
Do I believe
Together or alone
I always believe
myself,
my future,
my right to leave-
this world.
I visit
a land unknown
to all but me
I travel the world
and
the seven seas
I have many adventures
that take me afar
Wouldn't you say I believe?
To believe is to live within
a circle of friendship
To always be within
reach of the ones you love
to always feel as if you're
being hugged
Wouldn't you say I believe?
Being believed is
an embrace of trust
a knowing that you are true
a loving gesture of such insignificance
that it is always waiting for you
To be believed
I do not ask
I do not shout
or scream
I simply let my trustworthiness
sing
Am I believed?
Do I believe?
Do I believe it when
I open my eyes and
see the sun shining
from the skies
Do I believe I'm alive?
Do I believe it when
I hear the birds chirping
and the wind
wrestling its way through the trees
Do I believe I can hear?
Do I believe it when
I learn something new
and it seems
a curtain has been
lifted
Do i believe I can learn?
To be believed
I need to believe
in the beauty
all around
The creation
His love
that surrounds me always
I will always
be found
believing
