One Last Time

I dont blame you if you hate me.
Im starting to hate me too.
Mostly because I cant let go,
And I know I still love you.
I cant remember your face,
And Ive forgotten a lot of your words
I know how I can remind myself,
But remembering us still hurts.
And even though Ive never said it,
Youre the strongest person I know.
'Cuz youve been through so much crap,
And yet, you still have the strength to glow.
I regret making you angry,
And making you wait for me.
I wish we could start over,
Beginning on 8-28-03.
Ive met other guys, yes.
From different schools too.
Some are really nice,
But they just dont measure up to you.
You know, I feel kind of stupid,
Writing you a poem youll never read.
But youre the only one,
Who makes me feel like Ill succeed.
If youre happy with her, thats fine.
But just know Ill always be here.
Even if you cant see me,
Ill never fully disappear.
And know that its safe to call me.
Ill be happier on the phone.
Its likely youll hear a happy voice,
And not a depressing tone.
In my opinion, I love you.
In yours, were only friends.
And if we ever have a future,
Then I guess it all depends.
But for now, Ill leave you alone.
Assuming thats for the best.
Youll no longer hear me crying;
No longer see me depressed.
Itll do me some good to forget,
And I promise Ill try to move on.
In the meantime, thanks for everything.
Even though you are still gone.
So heres a final poem.
And a few last words of rhyme.
This is my way of saying I love you,
One last day, One last time.
