I see the blood drip from my cheek, All because I chose to speak. To simply ask why, Has come to this good-bye. Which is not want you want to hear, But I will no longer live in fear. So I have to shut you out, Because you cannot see what my love is all about. You took my love in vain And caused me so much pain. It felt like you cut through my heart with a knife. Sucking me dry, taking all I had in life. Looking deep into my soul, I no longer give you the control. The control of degrading me. Not allowing me to be who I want to be. I gave you the chance To come along and dance. But you stepped on my feet, Not allowing our souls to meet. You always wanted things your way, Never listening to anything I had to say. I looked deep into your eyes, Saw past your disguise, And know all that you said was lies. I see the games you played And cannot believe I stayed. Though you can see the marks on my face, They soon will be erased. Then I will erase the memory of you Since you could not be true.
