her security

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

When she sleeps in the dead of night
Fingers clenched around her blanket tight
As she walks in the light of day
Purse in hand, it always stays
Even when she runs, theres always something
People notice but dont say a thing
They know whats missing, but no one stops
Until one day he noticed and stepped in
She was uneasy, never held his hand
Afraid to lose what shed always had
Her security
But as she turned one lonely corner
His hands entwined
Suddenly it felt all right
She no longer holds her blankets tight
What was missing was a hand
To hold her in, no more awkward stares
Now everything is all right
She has everything
Her security

At last somebody to provide her with a hand to hold an answer to her loneliness and essentially someone to make her feel secure, lovely piece of writing highlighting the importance for so many of having someone around to make them feel secure
