I lie awake and cry
As I wonder what it would be like to die
All I wish is to be happy
So happy, not sad
Not to be called mad
No one seems to understand me
I hide so they don't see the real me
Never to be cursed
Never to get worse
Depression beat me down
So I always frown
How can I escape my mind
To be normal and kind
Who gets the blame, me
All I want to do is run, be a free me

G'day Cici,
This is a heartfelt write and I feel your lonliness.
Depression really sux. Poetry helps me escape and handle things.
The YPDC family are also a great strength, here you need never be alone.
