Walk A Mile

If you were to walk a mile in my shoes
then you would be able to understand
why I sometimes get the blues.
The only thing that matters right now
is my poetry sharing my views and my
hearts song with the world is my joy.
My pet peeve others who try to take away
from me the very thing that allows my mind
to be free and that itself should be a crime.
God gave me this gift to share despite what
people that dislike it think they are just haters,
lazy and unmotivated hate anyone they see that
try to succeed don't want nothing out of their life
but try to make yours misery yet I will continue to
write because I don't care none of that will stop
me from relaying this message I am latched on
tenacious as a pit bull eventhough I get sad because
certain things that happen in my life troubles my spirit
I am grateful for the strength I have been given to make
it through I have come this far because of Faith and will
go even farther because I have God's grace.
