I know I've messed up,
and I'm deeply sorry for it.
I tried my hardest,
and I failed as usual.
You trusted me with your feelings,
your life and all in it.
I let you down,
and I let you go.
I said I'd be there for you,
always and forever.
I got caught in my own life,
and left you there to drown.
You just kept getting sadder,
and I didn't see your pain.
Then you left and
all I could think was
I should have listened to you.
