As I look back on my life
I cannot help but have regrets
Time goes by quickly
And still, there are goals I haven't met
Is all this just a waste of time
Or is there a greater purpose that I cannot see
I wish that pupose I could find
So I can finally arrive at who I'm supposed to be
I want to do what is right
I want to be an angel in someone's eyes
I want to care for someone night after night
I want to prove that I won't live in lies
I hope people look back
And say that I made this world a better place
I hope my legacy will live on
And that they will never forget my face

This is an outstanding piece of poetry so well written. I too also wonder If I have left my mark in this world and wonder if people will remember my face when I'm gone.

| Great poem! I'm pretty sure my mark on the world will be called "a know it all pain in the rear." I tend to jump head first into situations without thinking how people will precieve me, or how they'll take my advice. Good intentions don't always win people over. Ya know? Shey |
