Living my life, Day in, day out. Never wondering, What it's really about.
Doing the things, That I do every day. Saying the things, They want me to say.
But now I've found, That I am no one, Unless I'm being me.
'Cause: People tell me what to do; People tell me what to say; People tell me how to move; Everyday.
They try to turn me, Into something I'm not. And who I once was, I completely forgot. But when I try to remember, I know.
That one day I am, What I want to be. Not by pleasing them, But just by being me.
I want to be able , To like me for me, Sometimes. And I have decided, Now is that time.
And: People tell me what to do; People tell me what to say; People tell me how to move; Every day.
But I don't listen To a word they say. I want to live a life, That's mine every day.
And now I've found, That I am some one, Just by being me.
