Ghostly Encounter

Contributed by Cupid on Wednesday, 27th April 2005 @ 08:53:09 PM in AEST
Topic: mystical

My heart is pounding as sweat
Falls from my brow. I feel
Frozen and stiff as a ghostly hand
Swishes across my back.
I regain my courage and
Spin around to see who is
There. No one.
I hear footsteps, then my guitar
Is lifted into the air and
Strummed once long and loud.
I feel my face go stone cold
And pale and my hair stands
On end. I open my mouth to
Scream, but once again a
Hand prevents the entitys
Discovery.
It appears full body as a man
With thin eyes, a long nose, and
Small lips. He sets the
Guitar back to its resting spot,
And leans over me on the
Bed, he holds my chin up and whispers in
My ear, 'You know who I am, and
It wouldnt hurt to have a
Friend like me' and kisses my
Cheek, then disappears in a
Puff of smoke.

Now I sleep in my parents room.

You had me on edge in fear and suspense right through to the end of this poem. And then the wonderful coda at the end. Such a release of tension. So well written.

Robert Davidson.

I think you and I have
experienced
the same Entity.
