Bring Forth Yer Shadow

Contributed by Opium on Thursday, 26th December 2002 @ 06:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Beneath this wooden lid oft I waylay awaiting Thine shadow
Shed not a tear of empathy my thouest nor of sorrow
Mind not the palling velvet darkness
Of a heart enshrouded in its blackness

Love vanished with me abaft the unlight
Perchance I shall weareth the night
And danceth my way to the doors of nevermore
For there belongeth a heart that is tore

On my lips a kiss landed
And with the shadows blended
Canst thou not see thou to me needful art?
Canst thou not hear the cries of my heart?

Death leadeth my soul away from thee
Daresay no words of bereavement nor of blasphemy
Now must I be left in my tranquility
Beneath this wooden lid, where I quench my misery

Of thee shall I forever dream
With tears yer loss shall I redeem
Open Thine gates, let me in oh Loe
Over my life bring forth Yer shadow
