You come to me again Like I should just forgive you But you hurt me bad this time And im lost in what to do You say such vile things And act like nothings changed But I get so sick of it My feelings rearrange I cannot find reason Of why we were friends Im sorry it turned out like this Im sorry this is how it ends Your criticism and claims On all my mistakes and my faults Its always the same with you Youre always right, Im always wrong Do you not see it? How you take advantage of me Youve covered my sight So I cannot see But you deny whats right there Clear in front of your face The truth about you The falsities you chase I cant take it anymore You never apologize You make me feel stupid You make me break down and cry Why continue on like this When you dont listen anyway Im sorry, I am And thats more than you can say I thought we were FRIENDS Does that not mean a thing to you? You tore me up and left me in pieces Forgiveness this time I cannot do

This is a strong and powerful write. I can feel ur anger and pain through ur words. U don't need a friend like that. You deserve someone who will treat u with love and respect. A great write.
Hugs,

This is so different from what you normally write. Where to start??? Okay, I guess it's a good thing that this poem's theme is different from the right at the edge poetry, like you are considering the final solution. Anger at one individual without self harm/suicide in the picture shows a willingness to respect one's needs and that in mind is a very good thing. The world is a much better place with you in it.
The feelings you express toward your friend are indeed strongly noted here. I can never intellectually understand the variable dynamics of friendship. My daughter has a friendship where she is similar to you (which I found out when my ex read my daughter's diary which was a horrible thing to do) and her friend is like your friend. But my daughter still stays with her friend. Of course, maybe she hasn't hit her threshold as you have. How long have you known your friend and will you be better without him/her? I am not doubting the accuracy of what you say nor am I arguing with the veracity of the previous poster, but terminating a friendship is a serious thing and when the anger subsides (if it does), well, that might be a better time to consider some sort of action.
I would encourage you to communicate your feelings to him/her. This poem may be a good place to start. Hmmm, should have e-mailed this but, it's late, so it stays as a comment. |

This is a really strong poem. I think you should do your best to forgive this person but no longer be friends with them. Unforgiveness makes people really miserable and it's not worth it.

A friend who treats you so badly and cares nothing for your feelings is not really a friend at all....the word friend becomes meaningless.
However hard it may seem, its time to let go

It reminds me of me. I'm such a jerk to my best friend, and I don't mean to be. I feel so regretful, and I've even near cried myself to sleep just wishing he were there so I could apologize for all the things I've done. But when I stare him in the face, and see how he's still my friend, it's like he's saying he forgives me and understands I didn't mean it. Me and him don't have an emotional relationship where we express ourselves to each other, so telling him I'm sorry would be the most awkward feeling in the world.
It feels weird being on the other side of your poem. I'd love to say that your friend regrets ever hurting you and that he or she is like me, tearing themselves up inside over it. I feel lightheaded now... I want to be able to say forgive them, because they don't mean to hurt you, but I'm not them. I haven't hurt my best friend in a very long time, because I've changed. I don't know about your friend, but I'll be sorry for him or her. I'm sure he regrets it if he has any feeling at all.
But typing this seriously makes me want to pass out. Odd... |
