Ive watched and waited
And sometimes cried
Ive lived and learned
And sometimes lied
Ive given and taken
For its always been the way
And sought to be forgiven
For the things Ive had to say
I looked for the causes
For the things Ive done in vain
And thought about the reasons
Of why I still remain
To wonder at the sadness
In life there is to bear
To always leave me asking
Did you ever really care.
