I Wanna Hold You Close

Contributed by Kay-Kay on Friday, 29th April 2005 @ 11:34:55 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Looking back at old things from our past
I wonder why it just didn't last
Laughing at some and at some i cry
Dreaming that you're still here i cry at night

Every now and then i ask myself
Is there anything i could have done that would have helped
I don't wanna put the blame on me
But why you did this is so hard to see

So happy on the outside but on the inside so sad
Depression got ahold of you and everything you had
I just wish that i could have you back
Then you could start over on a different track

I just wanna be able to hold you in my arms
To protect you and keep you from any harm
But i know that it's impossible but i can dream
Just one last time us together as a team

But you're home now never to be disturbed
You passing on is just a lesson i've learned
I know that you are watching me from above
Because every now and then i can truly feel your love

Your birthday is coming up so i better behave
In May i'll buy you a gift and take it to your grave
It just won't be the same as it use to
I'm use to spending your birthday with you

I just need to be able to hold you close
It's hard to believe that i miss you the most
But i'm still just waiting for my time to end
See you when it's my time to go my friend...

Happy Birthday (in May)~~~Love You Forever 1988-2004
