Truth's Lie of life

Unforgiven from a lie of sin Seated in tainted blood within Marred of every truth's lie And every memory left behind
Like tears that pour out like rain Along the skin, saturated of pain Only creating a numb feeling Yet also causing a faint healing
Along the lines of contradiction But it is only my own conviction That there is pointless reason to life With only one way out, Death can only suffice . . . Take my words said above In the end the only thing left are memories Of a possible "Beloved" For even life is a lie And the only truth at all Is we all die

well clark, i must say i like yours better than mine =] what first got me in this poem was the first stanza.
"Unforgiven from a lie of sin
Seated in tainted blood within
Marred of every truth's lie
And every memory left behind" i loved the last two lines the best in this. the last two lines in the third stanza also very nice. and what truth it is...

An important fact of life here, a really captivating ending. Although you got me a lot early interested in the conclusion itself. It's as iff that first stanza indicated a sort of enlightenment, if that makes sense. And the revelation was one to be admired. You made a lot of sense in this one Clark, well done. |
