Why?

Contributed by Dralion on Sunday, 1st May 2005 @ 09:19:33 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Why'd you have to?
Was it so bad?

That you saw
your life
as worthless.

It wasn't!

It couldn't have been.

You could have asked me
for help.

I'd been there
in my mind.

I'd have helped--
somehow.

Even if it had just been
a few beers
and a bucket of wings.

You knew me.
I'dve listened.

There were folks
that could help you.

You didn't have to.

Written so well and with compassion, Dralion
I hope you remember me, I used to comment on your poems all the time.
I have been gone for about 6 months, and so nice to be back to read your fine poems.
I'm so sorry for you loss........I have had that done to me............such a hopeless feeling, and we always think we might have been able to make a difference, but most times when a person decides to take their own life, it's rather futile to try to get them to live again.
Warm Love
