Hypnotized!

Topic: selfstruggles

Afraid of the fear that holds us still.
Fear of a presence that captivates us in whole only until.

Awaiting patiently for the unknown to come.
Meanwhile we stand as statues totally numb.

Numb from the pain that we cause that our numbness creates.
We watch, or rather idle we stare, motionless & still as our fear escalates.

Our numbness is the fear we're so afraid, that holds us in place,
while this utter unknown is what we should seek out & trace.

Our heads & our hearts remain untold.
Running circles the same each time we pass what makes us unnumb to all that we're never told.

If only we became able to see the feeling to awake that we so unavoidably seek,
which lies just beneath that very bridge we lie our heads upon each night, as if to be given a clue we could guess, we never saw a peek.

Straight as an arrow we are pointed ahead.
Straight as straight can fall straight down stiff as that arrow, that is pointed straight down instead.

Stop to breath what we've too long not known.
Finally do we regain that feeling so unnumb we virginly began & part of each chapter is now slightly shown.

Shady trees bend & sway, parting a path to follow & circles become our past.
Further we run in the direction exact in opposition of the circles & shade that seemed now to swim by so fast.

The work & the strain we've continuously given to our recent foe that now we start to have realized,
was only the numbness we were too afraid not to fear, awake from the bridge we've so restlessly slept...

I think now, I may have just been temporarily,

HYPNOTIZED!
