A shimmer of the things from past
won't quite fade away
and emotions feel as deep right now
as they first felt yesterday
I see you look at him with love
and I'm envious inside
before a word was ever spoke
I knew I'd crave to hide
I know exactly what is there
what's been there all the while
so should I give up how I feel
so others near can smile?
The question burns beyond a flame
no fires blaze could match
and breath is often knocked away
so far I just can't catch
I just don't know what's right or wrong
how deep to give my part
cause I'm in love with an awesome guy
who still holds some one's heart.
