I see the people
Straying further from reflection
Away from the advancing of the limits of thought
Instead looking for the instant gratification
The smothering of perceptible
Grasping touchable
Flesh sensory penetration
That is the cycle
Fight for survival
Assure it
Then ask where we come from
But be let down
Move on to what we can touch
To make your faces into a moan
Leaving the abstract behind
Reaching down
Instead of up and out
Where do we go from here
Is this the final outcome
Only a glimpse of the future now
Can convince me otherwise
And I am strangely
Only an observer
And I see the people
