On the t v news this morning
I heard a talking head
Running down our soverign nation
And the cruel harsh words he said
Made me wonder how he sleeps at night
Knowing his words have been taken
And splashed across the news media
To parts by God forsaken
As he spoke, I thought of the divisions
Between us that he was trying to create
And I longed for someone to shut his mouth
And just try, for once, to mediate
To bring us all together
As Americans one and all we stand
Across this still, great nation
We need to have a plan
To unite, one and all and be together
Just listen to what I've said
And remember, that when each of us bleed
Our blood is America red
