Alone

Topic: SadPoetry

I'm the one passing by,
hair covering my face,
covering my self, insecurities, uglyness...

Alone, yes, I'm alone,
alone in this cruel, dark world,
ready to be eaten up when it feels the need to feed,

I'm ignored, manipulated, teased, hurt,
by what this world holds,

I'm the girl with the smile on her face,
hiding her problems, pain, issues,
caused by the people she most trusted,
holding it in until she runs to her room and...
breaks down into sea of tears, misery, sadness,

Lock the door so no one can see all this,
Don't want anyone to know what I really go through,
Don't want anyone to experience what I do,

A broken life, family, dream, girl,

Questions arise in my head,
What's there to live for?
What's the point of going on when I feel so...
Alone

I am so very sorry you feel this way. I did when I was young. I must say to you though that you must not give up and try to learn not to be so critical of yourself. We as teens seem to be our own worst enemies. We don't look past today. But there is a tomorrow and as you age you will have more power over it and not everything will seem sad or over-powering. Your choice to be alone and not share yourself is like locking you in a lonely cage. Try to find at least one friend. Someone to confide in. It will help immensely, just like writing does. I wish you power within yourself.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
