Come Home

We look past the glories You have made,
Lean on answerless questions,
Ask them to our grave.
We believe in none but our own self,
Put no faith in You.
Search the World for answers
Ignore what You say is true.

We bleed and plead with each other,
Can you heal my soul?
While we look past Your word always saying
That You will make us whole.

And we turn and walk away
Ignoring You when you say
Fearing, needing, hoping, pleading-
Oh- Son come home

Our ignorance is blinding and blissful,
We feel on our own.
But deep inside us our hearts beg us to return home.
You sent Your own child to die for us
Yet we laugh and mock the tale
Though we search for glory and redemption,
Without You, all attempts are failed.

So we cry and die with each other,
We put You off too late.
Because we want our wild times and fantasies
Heavns not in our Fate.
We ignore that tug at our heartstrings
Beg to be left alone
Smile our fake smiles of feigned joy
Choose Hell over home.

Cause we turned and walked away
We ignore You when You say
Fearing, needing, hoping, pleading,
Oh- Son come home

Oh, Son come home!
My Son, come home!
I love you

But we turn and walk away
Ignore You when You say
Fearing, needing, hoping, pleading,
Wanting, waiting, hoping, praying,
Youre loving, caring, wonderful, awesome God
Were meek and lowly unworthy men, Oh God
But still You want and wait for us
Do we deserve You?
Do we deserve You?

Cause we turn and walk away
Ignore you when you say
Fearing, needing, hoping, pleading,
Oh- Son come home
