Why Must I die?

Contributed by dthwlkr on Sunday, 8th May 2005 @ 02:09:21 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

WILL SOMEONE TELL ME WHY MUST I DIE
WHY MUST PAIN BE MY DESTINY

I GAVE MY SHARE, OF LIFE AND HOPE
AND GAVE A NEW LIGHT TO PEOPLE WHEN THEY NEEDED IT MOST.
SO WHY DO THEY PUSH ME INTO THIS LONELINESS AND DARKNESS,
FORCED TO LIVE WITHIN ME, I RECEDE INTO MY EMPTINESS
I WALK THROUGH THE SANDS ALONE
AND THATS HOW I STAND TODAY, YES ALONE I STAND TODAY

WILL SOMEONE TELL ME WHY MUST I DIE
WON'T SOMEONE TELL ME WHY MUST PAIN BE MY DESTINY

SO TELL ME WHY MUST I FEEL, THE COLD KNIFE ON MY NECK,
MY SCARRED, AILING SOUL SHATTERS AS I PUSH IT DEEPER WITHIN ME.
AS BLOOD COMES FLOWING THROUGH, I AM PULLED DEEPER INTO MY INSANITY
I AM LYING ON THE COLD, DAMP FLOOR, MY LIFE SPILLED ALL AROUND ME.

SO TELL ME WHY MUST I DIE
HELP ME FOR PAIN IS MY DESTINY

AS I LIE WAITING FOR MY VEINS TO RUN DRY
SCREAMING IN AGONY, ONE LAST TIME FOR HELP I CRY
WAITING FOR HOPE, FOR A MILLION MILES I CONTINUE TO FALL
BUT I KNOW ONLY PAIN SHALL ANSWER MY CALL

SO I DIE, ALONE, IN DEATH AS IN LIFE
NO HOPE,NO DESIRE, EXCEPT THAT........

WHY MUST I SUFFER LIKE A KING REMOVED FROM HIS THRONE
MY AGONY IS SUCH FOR I TOO DIE ALONE

Pretty cool. It reminds me a bit of DevilDriver.

Very good---I hear it like a punk song. Excellent choice of words in this write. "I am lying on the cold, damp floor, my life spilled all around me..." Chilling, sad...Scorp.

Wow, I'm extremely impressed, feelings are expressed so well and the words are very powerful. I feel your pain completely. Great word choice and it's all done so clearly and visually. Loved it!
