I ask myself who am I
Who have I become
All those roads I've traveled
as time has carried on
The lessons I have learned
in a book you will not find
Nothing could prepare me
for I could not read the signs
The many tears I've cried
from the beatings I've received
Never can compare
to all the times that I have greived
A heavy load upon me
I know I carried well
Sometimes I know I stumbled
more times I know I fell
So mant were the burdens
that lade a murdered soul
Forced to face reality
my story will be told
Betrayed by my creators
their love was never felt
As innocense was stolen
I played the hand they dealt
But time keeps moving forward
yesterday is left behind
Thanks above I give Him
I've learned I have survived
and as I ask myself
just who have I become
The answer oh so obvious
I'm the one that carries on
