A Heart
I was walking the streets,
deep in thought
When I came upon a broken heart
I stood there looking at it
once lovely and red
Now broken and pink
I looked around, nobody was there
so I picked it up
And started for home
When I got home I took it out of
my pocket and laid it on the table
I thought it was forever gone
Then I took my pot of love and
brushed some
On the heart
Then, as if by magic,
the dear thing went together
Forming a heart once more
I sat in silence looking at it
and thinking
All it needed - was a little love.
