Sanity of Your Mind

Contributed by tiger_grl on Monday, 9th May 2005 @ 07:24:29 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Sometimes you think you see me
From the corner of your eye
But in a flash of a second
I'll have you questioning your sight.

In the midnight hour
When friends are all around
I watch you through the window
You turn my way I duck down.

I'm always a watching you
From a far off place
Slipping in and out of darkness
I have a mask upon my face.

I'll dance around your bed at night
Twirling here and there
Then slid upon your bedroom wall
And chill the night air.

You think you have me figured out
This I promise you
You'll never see me long enough
To know if I'm fake or true.

I'll be the cold chill that runs your arm
Making hairs stand on end
I'll be your private dancer
With no regret or sin.

I am a shadow person
I live within your mind
I'll have you question your sanity
In the stillness of the night.

You can never run from me
Or catch me if you try
I'll be your private Boogie-Man
I live in the shadows of your life.
