To the soldiers that have risked their lives
Just so that we can be free
So we can feel love, care and joy
Our hearts go out to thee
To the people in the those places
Where they cant say what they think
Where women can not show theyre faces
Or laugh or dance or even drink
To the people we always forget to mention
You know exactly who you are
You hold a grudge which causes tension
You guys are the ones that raised the bar
To the leaders that arent around any more
They are the ones we miss
Because things arent quite as bad as before
They surely make the list
To our soldiers again
Who in our time of need helped us
Showed us that there is no shame
In saying that in god we trust
So please remember
When you are in bed at night
That it is because of those good people
That you can safely go to sleep
when you turn out the light
