Not My Graceful Fall

Contributed by spazz911 on Friday, 13th May 2005 @ 08:41:32 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

standing on a cliff
ready to jump
off the sandy dunes of time and space
to the death of where I belong
falling in the limestone stages
degrees of life
feeling so hard headed
ready to end the pain of life
stand here waiting
just give me some time
I need some stages
steps in my fall
almost all taken one left
the big fall
tangled in hurt, a thorny vine
twisting around my ankle
pulls back and I will fall
slap of the side as I bounce of the walls of my pit
banging of my body on the sides
as I slowly dissapear from sight
not that I will stop
not that I would
I live for the death that I feel everyday
when I see the sight of your life
so pretty and sweet
so I slowly plunge into the seven levels of hell
feeling the fire of gun
the echo of sound
dying w/o my particlar graceful fall

So much pain in this write and I know how your feeling. I to have wrote about taking my life from all the pain I’ve been through. But I never could take my own life I have to much pride to admit that I’ve lost. Take care and thank you for sharing your heart and soul for all of us that chose to read. This piece was yet another work of art from the heart….Steve

An outstandingly visual poem. I have seen lots of poems about suicide but not one that so eloquently and prosaically describing the actual fall. Well written.

I admit I was so sad to see the topic when I saw your name there. Don't give up hope. Jennie's down there with those strong arms of her to catch you and the rest of us can bring a net (just in case).

Sometimes no one is there to catch you and you hit the ground somewhere just south of rock bottom... Sounds like you wrote this from there. Thanks for the read. Chin up.
