Head Stone

Contributed by Deep_Within_My_Heart on Friday, 13th May 2005 @ 09:13:21 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Looking i nthe mirror and feeling nothing at all,
After years of depression happiness is hard to recall.
Tears streaming down my face as the salt soaks in my skin,
Emotions pour out with nothing within.
Cold and helpless I grasp to hold on,
When did something start to go wrong?
With no resort, or no way out,
It consumes my body filling my mind with doubt.
I pick up the razor in my trembling hands,
Slicing my wrists and taking a stand.
The blood flows in rivers at a comforting speed,
Red paints the sink as I countinue to bleed.
Finally at peace, my soul is free,
A beautiful girl I just couldn't see.
My body lays lifeless on the floor,
It's the first thing my parents will see when they open the door.
A pool of blood a blanket of fear,
No one believed she was sincere.
If only someone listened,
A precious life could be saved.
A tombstone picked out,
Where my name is engraved.
Embrace your kids and ask what is wrong,
Everyone feels they need to belong.
One tiny voice and a heart filled with pain,
When taking your life there is nothing to gain.
Hope flows even when we can't see,
Hang on to one more day and learn to believe.
Every life has endless posibilites to achieve.
