The Grip of Nothing

An echo of a whisper Little words get smaller I'd like to clinch interest But nothing has no grip
Plop in my lap Gather straws for nest Build me up taller Than I could ever be
Pluck and tuck Things I can't see Momentary substinance Thriving on the air
Parasitic logic Thinnest of diets I could build you up But the sky is too lofty
Run your rings Working appetite Into a frenzy That I can diffuse
I could hear your voice And indeed I do My ears are not deaf Just incapable
