Joy is only a hidden agenda
That takes over my life
Every breath I'm taking
Life flows right by
like a river.
I don't flow
I walk down that road
slowly with to many obstacles
every minute of my life
I have to stop and get out of the way of things speeding by
and I'm just in the way
I try to figure myself out
but when I finally think that I have figured it out
I have to stop for all of the obstacles
that have found their way in
and even then I don't flow
I seem to drag myself at the bottom of the flow
putting my feet at the bottom and pulling up
all the obstacles in my way
my life flows by
and I pull up all of the things in my way
So I sit back
and take things as I pull them up

| You know how to step outside yourself and feel and see what is happening. Doing this and then putting it in words as you have done is what makes good writers and poets.........keep writing! |
